Community Services
At CCLB, all of our efforts are designed with the goal of supporting our local communities. Our Community Services are the activities that allow us to directly interface with residents and local stakeholders.

CCLB is primarily active in the Gateway Cities region of Los Angeles. We work with the cities of Long Beach, South Gate, and more!

Environmental Education
The environment is at the heart of what we do. All CCLB projects have a stewardship or conservation element. But we are environmental educators, too. From teaching community members about the impact of the LA River ecosystems to providing guidelines on different types of recycling, our goal is to inspire Long Beach residents to become stewards of our local resources.

Disaster Relief
Here at the Corps, we are prepared to serve our community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we partnered with local agencies to erect four triage centers and assemble beds for a emergency hospital. We also sent Corpsmembers to San Jose to assist with emergency food distribution. In general, we are prepared to assist in the event of fire, medical emergencies, and more.

Graffiti & Waste Management
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a significant increase in illegal dumping. Luckily, we partnered with the City of South Gate, Long Beach, and Clean California / CalTrans to ensure that all areas in our community stay clean, safe, and waste-free. We provide large waste hauling services as well as graffiti abatement to ensure our local environment remains pristine.
